Rodolfo "Rudy" Ramirez is an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research (INAR) at Louisiana State University in Shreveport (LSUS).
In addition to his role as an Adjunct Professor at LSUS, Rudy serves as the Executive Director of the McAllen Housing Commission, McAllen Housing Development Corporation, and the Mcallen Housing Developemnt Corporation. Rudy is passionate about advancing professional development within the philanthropic sector and the low to moderate income residents.
Rudy's research focuses on the intersections of philanthropy, community collaboration, nonprofit management, and civic engagement of marginalized communities. He is the author of Nonprofit Collaborations in Diverse Communities: Challenges and Opportunities in Muslim-Led Organizations, a book that explores key dynamics within nonprofit collaborations in diverse and minority-led contexts. He has actively engaged and consulted with philanthropic nonprofits and government agencies to decipher research into practice. His research work continues in affordable housing and helping all fulfill the American dream "HOMEOWNERSHIP".
